Who says basics are boring? They are classic, elegant and withstand the test of time. They provide a foundation and give the practitioner a solid base to build upon. Understanding the basics allows greater freedom from injury, freedom to improvise, and frees the mind to focus on more subtle aspects of practice.

Join us for this introduction to vinyasa yoga workshop, where you will learn the key postures of this popular style. Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic, flowing form of yoga that emphasizes the connection between breath and movement. In this workshop, we will explore the basic postures and sequencing of a vinyasa yoga practice.

With 18 years of experience teaching yoga, Liz will introduce you to a series of asanas (postures) that are synchronized with the breath, helping you build strength, flexibility, and endurance while having fun. We will go over the postures slowly and in detail so you have an understanding of the forms. You will then learn about the breath used in vinyasa yoga and how it can enhance your practice.

This workshop is perfect for beginners or those who want to deepen their understanding of vinyasa yoga. You will leave with a solid foundation in the practice and the confidence to attend vinyasa yoga classes. All our classes strive to be welcoming for everyone, regardless of experience, so there is no need to attend this workshop before jumping in, however it is an opportunity to explore the power of the postures in greater detail. 

Whether you are new to yoga or have been practicing for years, join us for a wonderful workshop that will leave you feeling empowered to continue in your practice.
