The Original Hot is a style of yoga that consists of a sequence of 26 postures and two breathing exercises, performed in a heated room to help improve flexibility, balance, strength, and overall health. In this workshop we will practice each of these postures, and then discuss them in detail, with guidance and feedback.
This two part workshop will begin with a brief introduction to this practice, its benefits, as well as some general instructions on how to practice safely and effectively. You will also learn about the importance of proper breathing and hydration during the class, as well as how to modify the poses if needed.
Next, you will start practicing the postures one by one, starting with the standing series. Liz will guide you through each pose, explaining proper alignment, muscle engagement, and the "why" behind each pose. She will offer adjustments or modifications as needed. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive individual feedback on your form and technique.
After completing the standing series, you will move on to the floor series, which includes a variety of challenging poses such as the Camel, Rabbit, and Cobra. Again, Liz will guide you through each pose step by step, focusing on proper alignment, and helping you deepen your postures and build strength.
Throughout the workshops, you will be encouraged to listen to your body and practice at your own pace, taking breaks and modifications as needed.
By the end, you will have gained a deeper understanding of the Original Hot practice and its benefits, as well as a solid foundation for your future practice. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi, this workshop will help you to improve your physical and mental health, reduce stress, and cultivate a sense of inner peace and well-being.
