  • Saturday Feb 10th & Sunday Feb 11th: 10-4:30pm

Centuries ago, a dynamic bodywork therapy based on yoga and Ayurveda was born in the temples of Thailand. In this unique healing system of Thai Yoga Massage - also called Nuad Boran and widely known as traditional Thai Yoga - the practitioner guides the recipient through a series of yoga postures while rhythmically palming and thumbing along the body's energy ("Sen") lines and pressure points. Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, opens joints, tones internal organs, improves circulation, boosts the immune system and balances the body energetically, bringing about a deep state of peace and relaxation.

This workshop led by Patrick Good LMP will give you an in depth introduction to the practice of Thai Yoga Massage. You will learn basic Thai Massage principles, proper body mechanics, techniques to relieve bodily aches and pains, and how to perform a dozen Thai Massage moves.Thai Yoga Therapy is performed on a mat on the floor; both client and practitioner are dressed in comfortable clothing allowing ease of movement and flexibility. No oils or creams are used. Please bring a partner, two yoga mats, to heavy thick blankets, and two pillows.

This workshop will be held at the Tacoma location with morning sessions in the small back room and afternoon sessions in the main room. The workshop will not be heated.

It can count toward YACEP continuing education hours and 300-hr credits for those pursuing their 500-hr teacher training certification through Expand Yoga.
